Choosing toys for 3-5 year olds

Imagination is the biggest superpower now

Pretend-play sets — kitchens, doctor kits, dress-up, cash counters — dominate this age. A wooden banana suddenly becomes phone, ice cream, then hammer. Choose sets that leave lots of room for storytelling.

First puzzles and pattern play

Tray puzzles (2-12 pieces) at 3, jigsaws (24-60 pieces) by 5. Matching games, colour sorters and simple shape logic set up early maths. Board games with dice + turn-taking work by 4.

Building sets grow with them

Jumbo magnetic tiles and big wooden blocks work from 3. Standard bricks + first construction kits around 4-5. Marble runs, gears and simple pattern-building start hooking curious minds.

Physical + creative outlets

Balance bikes, first tricycles, scooters, ball sets. Washable paint, chunky crayons, first easels. Screen-free physical play at this age directly builds fine + gross motor for school.

Safety still matters

Every toy in our range is BIS-certified with non-toxic paint. Small parts are age-labelled clearly (3+ vs. 5+). Ride-ons and scooters come with size-graded helmets — ask us at the counter.
