What’s happening at this stage

Choosing toys for 0-2 year olds

0-6 months: sensory + high contrast

Vision is still developing. High-contrast black-and-white cards, soft rattles with gentle sound and textured teethers are what land. Baby just needs to look, listen and grip.

6-12 months: cause and effect

“If I drop it, it falls. If I press it, it makes noise.” Playmats with hanging toys, activity boards, first push-along toys and cloth books with textures are perfect for this stage.

12-24 months: sorting and stacking

Shape sorters, stacking rings, chunky puzzles (2-4 pieces), pull-along toys and simple pretend sets — the pincer grip is coming online and your toddler wants to control the world.

Safety-first: BIS + non-toxic + no small parts

We prioritize BIS-compliant baby toys with non-toxic materials and no small removable parts, and can show certification details in-store. Silicone teethers are food-grade; soft toys have stitched (not glued) features.

Fewer, better toys

Babies focus better with a rotation of 3-5 good toys than an overflow. Machine-washable, dishwasher-safe pieces make life easier. Ask us for a rotation-friendly starter set.
